Meet the Team
Patrick Savage, CEO and President
With extensive experience in marketing, analytics, business operations, finance, and large-scale operations, Patrick founded BodyLogicMD in 2003 with the objective of applying his broad business experience to the rapidly expanding bioidentical hormone replacement therapy market. Before founding BodyLogicMD, Patrick was Executive Director of Cash Management Worldwide for Tyco International (managing a team of over 1,000). Among his past positions was Vice President of New Product Development for AT&T Universal Card Services. He has B.S. in Economics from Michigan State University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Florida.
Jennifer Landa, M.D., Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Jennifer Landa is a Diplomat of the Board of Anti-Aging Medicine, Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is an active member of the Fellowship for Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College of Union University in Albany, NY in 1996, and completed her internship and residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC, where she was distinguished as the Administrative Chief Resident in OB/GYN. Dr. Landa was also featured in a cover story by Florida Trend magazine in December of 2009 as a leading expert in anti-aging medicine.
Joseph Cornett, Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer of BodyLogicMD, Joseph Cornett is responsible for all aspects of finance and accounting with the leading network of physicians specializing in anti-aging and regenerative medicine. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia and earned his master’s degree in accounting from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.
Deborah Astern, Franchise Sales Director
Deborah Astern has been with BodyLogicMD for more than 8 years and serves as the BodyLogicMD Franchise Sales Director. She is responsible for developing new relationships with practitioners and expanding the BodyLogicMD franchise growth into all major cities and states.

The BodyLogicMD Medical Review Board consists of practitioners nationwide that dedicate their practice to and specialize in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and integrative medicine. With diverse backgrounds and an array of board certifications that range from Obstetrics and Gynecology to Emergency Medicine and Family Practice, our board of medical professionals are all devoted to one common goal – delivering honest, factual information that you can trust.

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jennifer Landa is the voice of BodyLogicMD and is responsible for the setting the training and education standards of all BodyLogicMD affiliated practitioners. She earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College of Union University in Albany, NY in 1996 and went on to complete her internship and residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC, where she earned her title as the Administrative Chief Resident in OB/GYN. Dr. Landa has made numerous appearances on nationally-syndicated television shows, and was featured in a cover story by Florida Trend magazine as a leading expert in anti-aging medicine.
Kenneth Varano, D.O.
Dr. Kenneth Varano became one of the first physicians nationwide to receive Board Certification in Integrative Medicine by the American Board of Integrative Medicine. He pursued his undergraduate from New York University in 1989 and went on to graduate from the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1994. He is a big believer in taking a proactive approach to wellness and made a transition from tradition medicine into functional and integrative medicine. He owns and practices at BodyLogicMD of Philadelphia.
Joseph Mazzei, D.O.
As the Medical Director of BodyLogicMD of Phoenix Glendale and BodyLogicMD of Phoenix Chandler, Dr. Joe Mazzei is recognized as one of the most highly-trained physicians in the hormone therapy and integrative medicine. He earned his graduate degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine in 2003. He has been regularly featured in both national and local media outlets as an expert in integrative medicine and hormone therapy.
Keith Wharton, M.D.
Dr. Keith Wharton received his undergraduate from West Virginia University in 1976. He completed his Doctorate at Marshall University School of Medicine in 1981 and finally went on to fulfill his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the State University of New York. He became the Medical Director of BodyLogicMD of Pittsburg, who continues his journey of helping patients achieve optimal overall health through preventive care and integrative therapies.
Gretchen Reis, M.D
Dr. Reis was first introduced to bioidentical hormone therapy and functional medicine practices through a friend in the field. Having experienced first-hand the benefits of functional medicine through her youngest son, who was diagnosed with autism, she pursued the practice of functional medicine and is owner and operator at BodyLogicMD of Charlotte. Dr. Gretchen Reis obtained her undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin and completed her Medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. She has 4 beautiful children with her husband Bill.
Benita Phillips, D.O.
Dr. Benita Phillips earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000 and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Tulsa. As the owner and operator of BodyLogicMD of Nashville, Dr. Phillips helps patients find relief from symptoms of menopause and andropause, including fatigue, night sweats, weight gain and depression. She is an active member of the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Robert Rubin, M.D.
Dr. Rubin is dedicated to helping his patients overcome menopause and andropause related symptoms through customized bioidentical hormone therapy options. He received his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 1980 and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. He now owns and operates two BodyLogicMD franchise practices; BodyLogicMD of Naples and BodyLogicMD of Tampa, Florida.
