Pennsylvanians Declare Freedom from Symptoms of Hormonal Imbalance
Pittsburgh Bioidentical Hormones Expert Forges Alliance with BodyLogicMD
PITTSBURGH, PA - September, 2010 - Baby Boomers are proving that 70 is the new 50. Not only are women and men living longer, but many are coming to realize that sexy doesn't have to have an expiration date. Fortunately, bioidentical hormones expert, Keith Wharton, M.D. is giving residents of the Steel City the chance to preserve the vitality of their youth and is reinforcing the notion that that getting older doesn't have to mean getting old.
"It's all about lifestyle," shares Dr. Wharton, Medical Director of BodyLogicMD's bioidentical hormones practice in Pittsburgh, PA. "The more effort you put into living a healthy life, the longer you'll live and the better you'll feel because of it. While diet and exercise are critical components of a healthy lifestyle, it's also important to take a look at sleep patterns, stress levels, nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivities and other factors that could potentially lead to health challenges later on in life."
Dr. Wharton helps patients overcome symptoms of hormonal imbalance, oftentimes associated with menopause and andropause (the male menopause), using multi-tiered, medically supervised wellness programs, which consist of a combination of nutrition and fitness regimens, stress reduction techniques, pharmaceutical-grade supplementation and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). Each program is unique to the individual patient and addresses their own specific needs.
"You would be hard-pressed to find two patients who follow the same program," says Dr. Wharton. "Even if two women are suffering from the same symptoms, there is a high likelihood that the cause is different for each woman. This is why hormone testing is so valuable. It's difficult to determine what's taking place inside the body - hormonally - judging by symptoms alone. The hormone testing I use in my practice helps me determine the underlying source of the symptoms and then treat the condition accordingly."
