BodyLogicMD Introduces New Bioidentical Hormone Therapy Practice

Nashville, TN – October 2009 –The Country Music Capital of the World will soon be singing the praises of BodyLogicMD’s first Tennessee practice, led by Dr. Benita Swartout. She recently joined BodyLogicMD, the nation’s largest network of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) experts. Benita Swartout, D.O. devotes her Nashville practice to preventive medicine helping men and women relieve the symptoms of hormonal imbalance and other signs of aging related to perimenopause, menopause and andropause (the male menopause).

“The human body is resilient; it has the ability to heal itself, given the right circumstances,” says Dr. Swartout. “BHRT serves as a precursor, stimulating the production, and more importantly, the overall balance of hormone irregularities brought on by the aging process. Many of my patients begin seeing results as early as a few weeks into treatment when they follow a treatment plan that allows them to overhaul their lifestyles. The key is to remember that how we live is the primary limiting – or enhancing – factor to our health and longevity.”

Dr. Benita Swartout specializes in preventive medicine and wellness, helping her patients find relief from the symptoms of menopause and andropause, including fatigue, night sweats, weight gain and depression. She believes that by integrating stress reduction with a fitness regimen, proper nutrition and supplementation, in combination with BHRT, women and men can improve their quality of life.

“It is important that my patients want to help themselves –want to eat well, want to get in shape, want to take care of themselves - the best way that they possibly can,” says Dr. Swartout. “There is no magic bullet that will end the symptoms of aging, but we do have the tools to improve the manner in which we age, for those who are willing to put in the effort.”
