BodyLogicMD Welcomes Dr. Lisbeth Roy to Fort Lauderdale Bioidentical Hormones Practice

Lisbeth Roy, D.O. teams up with Dr. Jeff Thackrey of BodyLogicMD of Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. - July, 2010 - BodyLogicMD, the nation's largest network of highly trained physicians specializing in bioidentical hormones, fitness and nutrition, is pleased to announce that Lisbeth Roy, D.O. has joined Dr. Jeffrey Thackrey's downtown Fort Lauderdale bioidentical hormones practice. BodyLogicMD of Fort Lauderdale is growing in order to meet the increasing demand of women and men seeking relief from hormonal imbalances, such as menopause, andropause (the male menopause), thyroid disorder and adrenal fatigue.

"Dr. Roy will undoubtedly be an asset to our team - with her background in osteopathic medicine and her passion for preventive care, she is an outstanding addition to our already strong and diverse network of physicians" shares Dr. Thackrey of BodyLogicMD of Fort Lauderdale. "Our collaboration and shared expertise will enable us to help more patients find relief from symptoms of hormonal imbalance," continues Dr. Thackrey.

Dr. Roy helps her patients achieve optimal overall health through the use of customized wellness programs that include personalized nutrition and fitness regimens, stress reduction techniques and bioidentical hormone therapy, when necessary. Dr. Roy made the decision to practice integrative medicine so that she could have the opportunity to help her patients take a defensive stand against disease and age related health challenges.

"With integrative medicine, you're not just handing out prescriptions to patients - instead of using band-aids to mask symptoms, we pinpoint the underlying causes of the disease and treat the condition accordingly," shares Dr. Roy. As physicians, we're oftentimes trained to treat conditions based upon which drugs are available to mitigate a specific set of symptoms. While this may provide temporary symptom relief, we're overlooking the fact that the body has a unique inherent ability to heal itself. When you understand how the body functions, it's easier to intervene by supplying the body with what it needs to reestablish balance."
