About Dr. Dam

Rendering compassionate medical care for over 20 years, Dr. Marie Dam has a special interest in alternative medical therapies and brings her holistic approach to the Connecticut-area practice she shares with BodyLogicMD Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Alicia Stanton. Dr. Dam is devoted to anti-aging medicine and customized nutrition and fitness programs designed to help women and men relieve symptoms, including weight gain, sexual dysfunction, declining energy levels and stress, brought on by menopause and andropause and generally stressful life situations. She enjoys working closely with patients to help them successfully and fully optimize their health with hormone corrections, supplements and lifestyle changes.

Dr. Dam is an active member of the Fellowship in Regenerative and Functional Medicine and a member of the American Academy for Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine.

Dr. Dam graduated magnum cum laude from the University of South Florida College of Natural Sciences in 1981. She then graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1985. Dr. Dam completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, NY, where she was a visiting clinical fellow at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She was board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1988. After graduation she served as an Emergency Room physician in Rochester, NY and Tampa, FL. She later moved to Connecticut, where she had a private practice and was the Medical Director of New Milford Hospital's Athletic and Industrial Health Center. She expanded her knowledge base in the alternative field of allergy treatments, acupressure, and kinesiology by learning NAET (Nambudripaud's Allergy Elimination Technique). She has also been a clinical physician at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital's Northwest Medical Walk-In Center.

At your hour-long initial consultation, your BodyLogicMD physician will meet with you personally to discuss your symptoms, review your results and talk through the appropriate treatment to meet your individualized needs. Our highly experienced physicians undergo hundreds of hours of training in bioidentical hormones and have helped thousands of women and men suffering the symptoms of hormone imbalance.

Finally, if necessary, your BodyLogicMD physician will prescribe the customized compounded bioidentical hormones and other pharmacy-grade supplements for your personalized program. The compounding pharmacy will contact you and send these directly to your home or office as you request.
