About Joseph Agnello, M.D.

Dr. Joseph Agnello’s passion for preventive medicine is deeply rooted in his own personal journey through andropause (the male menopause), during which he suffered symptoms including chronic fatigue, weight gain and difficulty concentrating. Ultimately, he found relief through a combination of nutrition, exercise and bioidentical hormones. His success inspired him to make the same options available to his patients.

Dr. Agnello transitioned into integrative and functional medicine to treat his patients using preventive techniques to improve their overall health and wellness. Instead of using prescription drugs to simply treat symptoms, Dr. Agnello helps his patients correct the underlying issues at their source and uses preventive techniques to help them avoid health complications later on in life. He firmly believes that the changes associated with aging can not only be slowed, but in many cases significantly reversed.

As owner and operator of BodyLogicMD of Denver, Dr. Agnello devotes his Colorado-based bioidentical hormones practice to treating men and women experiencing symptoms of perimenopause, menopause and andropause. Dr. Agnello uses bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), and offers customized nutrition and fitness programs to help his patients overcome symptoms of hormonal imbalance such as weight gain, fatigue, low libido, irritability, hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings and the inability to build muscle mass.

Dr. Agnello received his BS from The Pennsylvania State University in 1970 and his MD in 1974 from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He completed a rotating internship in Family Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, N.Y., in 1975, where he later fulfilled his Anaesthesia Residency in 1977. In 1978, he became a Diplomat of the American Board of Anaesthesiology and received his Certificate in Pain Management, specializing in chronic and acute pain management, in 1998. Dr. Agnello is also an active member and Diplomat of the Fellowship in Anti-Aging & Functional Medicine.

At your hour-long initial consultation, your BodyLogicMD physician will meet with you personally to discuss your symptoms, review your results and talk through the appropriate treatment to meet your individualized needs. Our highly experienced physicians undergo hundreds of hours of training in bioidentical hormones and have helped thousands of women and men suffering the symptoms of hormone imbalance.

Finally, if necessary, your BodyLogicMD physician will prescribe the customized compounded bioidentical hormones and other pharmacy-grade supplements for your personalized program. The compounding pharmacy will contact you and send these directly to your home or office as you request.
