About Benita Swartout, D.O.

As the owner and operator of BodyLogicMD of Nashville, Benita Swartout, D.O., specializes in preventive anti-aging medicine and wellness in the Nashville area of Tennessee, helping her patients find relief from symptoms of menopause and andropause, including fatigue, night sweats, weight gain and depression. Dr. Swartout believes that by giving the body the tools and optimal conditions it needs, it can heal itself. By integrating stress reduction with a fitness regimen, proper nutrition and supplementation, in combination with bioidentical hormone therapy, she helps men and women increase their quality of life.

Dr. Swartout is an active member of the Fellowship in Regenerative Medicine and is a Diplomate in the American Academy for Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. She is also an active member of the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Swartout has been awarded the Physician's Recognition Award by the American Medical Association in 2007. Dr. Swartout was awarded both The Paul E. Tietze Memorial Award for Commitment to Patient Care and the Keeping Up With the Times Award for Research Excellence in 2003.

Dr. Benita Swartout earned her doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Oklahoma State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000 and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Tulsa, where she was the Chief Resident in 2002 and 2003. She was Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice in 2003.
