I found myself wanting to go out and do 'things'
In my countless hours of searching the web for health related articles, I stumbled upon 'andropause' a few years ago. My interest peaked when I read the list of symptoms of andropause, which are nearly identical to depression. I was in denial about my own 'depression' which one friend/psychologist told me had been building for years. Since I do not like drugs, the idea a hormonal imbalance or deficiency could be a contributing factor was welcomed with open arms. I found the BodyLogicMD website and contacted Dr. Jeff Thackrey’s Fort Lauderdale, Florida office; every step of the way was professional and he took the time to explain everything.
After completing both saliva and blood tests, I started using the testosterone crea m and almost immediately I felt my mood shift... the heaviness in my chest went away. All the symptoms of my hormone imbalance had subsided. My energy increased and I was more interested in my work. I found myself wanting to go out and do 'things'. My libido increased to where I thought about sex again. At the age of 52 I had pretty much lost interest in sex; since I had no woman in my life, I really didn't think about it.
About 2 months ago, I received bioidentical hormones using pellet therapy. For me the convenience and steady 'absorption' are well worth the extra cost. I have found a wonderful lady and the intimate times are more like when I was 30 something.
