Hi, my name is Evelyne Albanese. I’m going to be 51 years old, and started to go through menopause about 10 years ago, with my periods becoming less frequent and pretty much ending by the time I was 45, 46 years old. And along with that came hot flashes, irritability, sleepless nights, weight gain, and all the wonderful things that come along with menopause. Had started to look into more traditional ways of dealing with menopause around 45, 46 years old, and when I did the research I found side effects that I wasn’t ready to deal with so I started to look into alternative ways that I could deal with. Exercise, diet, pretty much been pretty healthy all the way up until that point anyway so I didn’t really have to change a whole lot. As I was doing more research into finding more natural ways of dealing with it, I came across Suzanne Somers’ book Ageless. As I read her book I realized that the way she had gone about it was the way I wanted to pursue it with the natural forms of hormone replacement. In it she mentioned BodyLogicMD, so I looked them up and tried to find a doctor that was close to where I lived. I had moved to Florida almost 3 years ago and found Dr. Landa in Orlando, Florida which is about an hour from my house. So I went to see her in May of 2007 and started with the saliva testing. She put me on hormones, cream form, as well as some I took orally. Also put me on a fish oil supplement to help with aches and pains. About 2 months into the treatment the hot flashes were almost completely gone. My irritability and sluggishness and achiness started to go away and I started to sleep much better at night. Along with that, prior to the treatment my libido had really gone down, kind of came to a screeching halt, just didn’t feel anything anymore, so we addressed that as well. She put me on some testosterone for women which around 6 weeks to 8 weeks also made a big difference, I’d say 80-85% back to normal as far as having sensation back and desire for it. It’s been almost 2 years now that I’ve been on the treatment and would highly recommend it to anyone. For me it’s been a very positive experience, pretty much has given me my life back. I feel like I’m pretty much back to normal like I was before going through menopause. I really had no expectation when going into it, just not wanting to have anything going in my mind, so that I could really just experience it for what it was. I was very pleased and very happy with my treatment and Dr. Landa is very thorough and conservative in her treatment so she started me off on really low dosages.
