According to a new study by researchers from the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research in Frankfurt, Germany, and the Universities of Frankfurt and Vienna, they might. The researchers found that low levels of thyroid hormones, as occur with hypothyroidism, resulted in changes in the cones in the retinas of mice and rats. These cells are responsible for color vision and the scientists believe that this change in rodent vision may correlate to a similar effect in human eyes.

In other words, when you have low levels of thyroid hormones, you may have difficulty seeing some colors - while other colors may be clearer. This study is yet another example of how your hormones affect every aspect of your body and your health.
