I don't care that it's "normal" to feel this way. Something's not right!
You’ve been walking around in your body for a long time, so when things aren’t right you’re the first to know. How frustrating would it be if your doctor said, “you are in normal range” – or worse, said it’s all part of the process and you were handed a prescription for antidepressants? That happens a lot, but it doesn’t have to happen to you. BodyLogicMD bioidentical hormone doctors test for what’s normal for you and then create a personalized plan that will have you feeling like you used to, only better.
Measuring Hormone Levels in Women
Hormone Tests
Measuring hormone levels must take place before bioidentical hormone replacement therapy can begin. You need to complete comprehensive hormone tests in order for a BodyLogicMD physician to know your current hormone levels, this serves as a starting point. BodyLogicMD offers hormone testing to help illuminate the reasons for those disruptive symptoms and chronic health problems that may have made you forget how good you could be feeling. The hormones we test are based upon profiles or panels created by our expert physicians to provide the most consistent and complete look at a woman’s hormones. These hormones work together in a woman’s body and when unbalanced, are often the source of undesirable symptoms found in perimenopause, menopause and similar conditions. Testing methods used by BodyLogicMD include serum testing, saliva testing and blood spot testing (capillary).
Testing Profiles
Your BodyLogicMD physician may request one of two possible hormone testing panels or profiles depending on your individual situation and symptoms. The female initial panel uses saliva and serum methods and includes 19 tests. Your BodyLogicMD physician may request this female initial panel or another comprehensive female profile which is performed with a saliva and blood spot methods. The comprehensive female profile includes 16 hormone tests.
