BodyLogicMD is opening in Arizona with its 16th nationwide center in Glendale. The Boca Raton, Fla.-based company is a network of physician-owned practices specializing in natural bioidentical hormone therapy. Doctors integrate natural hormone replacements with nutrition and fitness to help women resolve the symptoms of menopause and andropause, including weight gain, sexual dysfunction, declining energy levels and stress.
"Dr. Eric Honing is the first Valley doctor to affiliate with BodyLogicMD. He temporarily is operating the hormone therapy practice alongside his family practice office in Glendale, but said he is considering moving to a more central location.
"A lot of the patients I'm starting to see are from all over the Valley," he said, adding that some also are flying in from New Mexico, Utah and Nevada.
Honing said he is looking at the Desert Ridge area for a new office.
Patrick Savage, president and co-founder of the company, said physicians must be trained in bioidentical hormones through a fellowship in anti-aging and regenerative medicine to become part of the network.
"Our physicians are the best in this field because of the extensive training they get," Savage said.
So far, the 16 BodyLogicMD doctors have 5,000 patients under their care, Savage said.
